1/26/2024 0 Comments Dom fry oops i did it again![]() It’s either a satiric glorification of capitalist society or a consumerist fever dream: either way, when Spears demands “you better work, bitch”, it’s hard not to obey. “Go call the po-lice / go call the governuh,” Spears barks in a bizarre LA-cockney-Chelsea accent on this relentless EDM ridicu-banger, taken from her poorly received eighth album Britney Jean. Producers Bloodshy & Avant manage to pull out the insecurities and delicacy in her voice, while maintaining the singer’s post-2007 penchant for robotics, resulting in something that’s haunting and surprisingly tender. ![]() Tucked away on her album Circus, Unusual You is an experimental electro-ballad reminiscent of the collaborative work between Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth. Break the Ice (2007)Ĭo-written by Keri Hilson and produced by Timbaland protege Danja, who helmed most of Spears’ fifth album Blackout, this explosive slice of futuristic electro-R&B is so confident, Spears can even pull off the lyric: “I’m gonna hit defrost on ya / let’s get it blazing.” One to chant hungover to your microwave meal for one. “We don’t need to touch, just breathe,” she whispers at the end of a chorus that’s so steamy it’ll fog your bedroom window. This In the Zone album track is the sexiest song in Spears’ discography, a dive into voyeurism and tantric sex complete with pulsating bass, techno-inflected beats and her breathy moans and ASMR-worthy vocal fry. This remix, however, gives this curious and wistful song a cinematic quality the aquatic beats, Ray of Light-esque guitars and longing strings emphasise the lust in Spears’ voice. Initially meant for Spears’ fourth album In the Zone, the original version of this song has never officially been released (it is floating around online). And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL remix) (2003) Recorded specifically for Spears’ second greatest hits album, The Singles Collection, this ridiculously sexed-up oddity about indulging in a menage a trois is so sugary it’ll rot your teeth and the only song about threesomes to make reference to American folk group Peter, Paul and Mary. While there are more groundbreaking moments on Spears’ fifth album Blackout (Freakshow incorporated dubstep even earlier than Hold It Against Me), this song best demonstrates the lubricious darkness of the album, Danja’s demonic chanting and deranged synths coalescing with Spears’ come-to-bed vocals into something monstrous and thrilling. Just don’t mention the horrible G-Eazy rap. Built around luxuriant, pillowy synths and warm electric guitars, Spears sounds the most engaged and relaxed she has in years. It more than delivered, though, with lead single Make Me exemplifying the place she landed artistically. Make Me (feat G-Eazy) (2016)Īfter releasing a few duds, a lot was riding on the quality of Spears’ ninth album Glory. Quicksand (2008)Ĭriminally relegated to a bonus track from Spears’ sixth album, Circus, this grief-stricken song, written by Lady Gaga about the end of a relationship, is a prime example of the sort of melancholic sonic sandpit Spears should play around in more. Photograph: Action Press/Rex/Shutterstock 26. But Me Against the Music, with its clackity beats and busy acoustic guitar, is a strange but intoxicating slice of frenetic dance pop that’s more than worthy of its headliners’ star power. Whether it would be any good was less certain. Me Against the Music (feat Madonna) (2003)Īfter snogging at the 2003 MTV VMAs, a Madonna and Britney collaboration was inevitable. But Spears, now a dancefloor veteran, added a bit of spice to what was an otherwise generic era of pop, a prime example being this euphoric yet apocalyptic banger. Spears’ seventh album Femme Fatale, co-executive produced by her old pal Max Martin, led the charge as Eurodance-inspired pop crashed into the charts. ![]() But this slinky electro-pop confection has charm to it, Spears’ voice pushed to almost chipmunk levels of artificiality. Included on the Blackout and Circus albums due to a contractual obligation that meant it had to be a single, Radar has taken on meme status among Spears fans.

1/26/2024 0 Comments Endo predict![]() All women were postmenopausal and received 5 years of adjuvant endocrine therapy only ( 19, 20). Patients in both trials, ABCSG-6 or ABCSG-8, did not receive chemotherapy. ![]() This analysis included patients with early-stage ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer who were enrolled in the randomized phase III ABCSG-6 (tamoxifen-only arm) or ABCSG-8 (tamoxifen-only and tamoxifen+anastrozole arms) trials. Although some assays have been shown to be strong predictors of late recurrence 5 to 10 years after diagnosis ( 13–17), additional studies with longer term follow-up are necessary to more robustly evaluate the use of these molecular assays for extended endocrine therapy decision making. In addition, a recent study highlighted the long-term risk of recurrence and death from breast cancer, with a 13% risk of recurrence 5 to 20 years after diagnosis for women with node-negative disease who received 5 years of endocrine therapy ( 12). Although this supports the use of prognostic molecular assays in informing initial treatment decisions, additional studies are needed to support their use in clinical decision making for patients with node-positive disease. For example, several assays have been validated to predict the risk of 10-year distant recurrence ( 3, 4). With the growing number and complexity of treatment decisions for women with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer, there is an increased need for versatile and reliable prognostic assays. With no established prognostic factors for this patient population, professional society guidelines continue to state that all women may “consider” extending endocrine therapy after 5 years and provide no clear guidance on which patients may safely avoid such treatment ( 1). ![]() However, the authors called out that additional work is needed to investigate this clinicopathologic tool relative to and in combination with molecular assays. To this end, recently a nomogram was developed to combine nodal status, tumor size, tumor grade, and age (Clinical Treatment Score post-5 years, CTS5) that was significantly prognostic for 5- to 10-year recurrence in women who received 5 years of endocrine therapy ( 11). There is growing consensus that some patients may be at low enough risk to safely avoid extended endocrine therapy, with recent efforts aimed at identifying reliable prognostic factors. In light of this conflicting data regarding the clinical benefits of extended endocrine therapy, treatment decisions at the 5-year time point are not straightforward. Another randomized study of patients who received 5 years of endocrine therapy (ABCSG-16) showed that 5 years of extended anastrozole therapy resulted in added toxicity and did not improve disease-free survival compared with 2 years of extended therapy ( 10). In addition, a recent large, randomized, placebo-controlled trial (NSABP-B42) showed that survival was not significantly improved among women with ER-positive, HER2-negative disease who received 10 years of endocrine therapy compared with 5 years ( 9). However, many of these trials are confounded by the inclusion of patients who received adjuvant chemotherapy or by unknown hormone receptor status. Several trials have demonstrated improved survival among women who received endocrine therapy for 10 years versus 5 years ( 5–8). Conflicting data have emerged regarding the efficacy of extending endocrine therapy beyond 5 years and, as a result, the optimal duration and regimen of adjuvant endocrine therapy is not clear. Women with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer now face a second treatment decision 5 years after diagnosis: whether or not to continue endocrine therapy. Validation of these molecular assays for risk of late recurrence and in women with node-positive disease is necessary to evaluate their utility to inform treatment decisions regarding adjuvant chemotherapy and extended endocrine therapy for women with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. The advent of prognostic molecular assays has improved the accuracy of risk assessment at diagnosis compared with clinical measures only however, there are limited data regarding the use of prognostic molecular assays for women with node-positive disease and for late recurrence. This risk has been traditionally evaluated using standard clinical measures, such as tumor grade, tumor size, age, and Ki67 status. These treatment decisions are based on a patient's risk of early and late distant recurrence, respectively. ![]() Women with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer are faced with treatment decisions at the time of diagnosis (adjuvant chemotherapy) and 5 years after diagnosis (extended endocrine therapy). 1/26/2024 0 Comments Very irresistible perfume![]() To track your order, please click one of the links below and enter your tracking code (found on your confirmation email). Businesses will distinguish themselves by how well they use it. Entire industries will reorient around it. It will change the way people work, learn, travel, get health care, and communicate with each other. The development of AI is as fundamental as the creation of the microprocessor, the personal computer, the Internet, and the mobile phone. This inspired me to think about all the things that AI can achieve in the next five to 10 years. I knew I had just seen the most important advance in technology since the graphical user interface. Once it had aced the test, we asked it a non-scientific question: “What do you say to a father with a sick child?” It wrote a thoughtful answer that was probably better than most of us in the room would have given. We had an outside expert score the test, and GPT got a 5-the highest possible score, and the equivalent to getting an A or A+ in a college-level biology course. Then it wrote outstanding answers to six open-ended questions from the exam. In September, when I met with them again, I watched in awe as they asked GPT, their AI model, 60 multiple-choice questions from the AP Bio exam-and it got 59 of them right. I thought the challenge would keep them busy for two or three years. (I picked AP Bio because the test is more than a simple regurgitation of scientific facts-it asks you to think critically about biology.) If you can do that, I said, then you’ll have made a true breakthrough. Make it capable of answering questions that it hasn’t been specifically trained for. In mid-2022, I was so excited about their work that I gave them a challenge: train an artificial intelligence to pass an Advanced Placement biology exam. I’d been meeting with the team from OpenAI since 2016 and was impressed by their steady progress. ![]() The second big surprise came just last year.
